Overheating Oil Issues with Your Toyota LC300?

WE HAVE THE SOLUTION

24% MORE OIL.
BETTER COOLING.
GREATER THERMAL CAPACITY

Our cooling solutions are designed to address these oil capacity issues.

When your Landcruiser 300 series is towing, touring, carrying heavy loads or working hard for extended periods, the engine generates significantly more heat—and the engine oil plays a critical role in absorbing heat from high-temperature components, including the pistons, and carrying that heat away.

The LC300 XL Sump increases engine oil capacity from approximately 6.6 litres to 8.2 litres, providing around 24% more oil volume and greater thermal capacity to absorb and manage heat before it is circulated through the engine’s oil-cooling system.

Precision CNC machined from high-quality 6061 billet aluminium, the XL Sump also incorporates integrated external cooling fins and is supplied with an underbody air vent plate to increase airflow across the sump, helping the oil shed heat more effectively.

The increased oil volume can also help reduce the rate at which the total oil supply is affected by contaminants such as fuel dilution between oil changes.

The result is a larger, more thermally stable oil supply designed to help reduce oil-temperature spikes, maintain more consistent lubrication under sustained load, and provide an additional level of protection for your Landcruiser 300 series engine when it is working at its hardest.

The Problem.

LC300 Overheating Oil Issues

Loss of Cooling Efficiency

The stock oil cooling system in the LC300, particularly in the modified vehicles, may not be adequate for maintaining optimal engine oil temperatures under heavy loads or in extreme climates. This can result in increased internal engine component temperatures, leading to reduced performance and reliability and/or ultimately your car ending up on the back of a truck.

The Innovative Solution.

Custom Engineered Solution

We provide practical solutions to address oil overheating issues in the Toyota LC300:

Complete XL Sump Replacement

The Complete Sump Replacement increases oil capacity from 6.6L to over 8.2L, improving cooling, reducing diesel fuel dilution, and preserving oil performance. Its billet aluminium pan with cooling fins enhances heat dissipation, stabilising engine temperatures and extending engine life.

The Manufacturing Process

Our products are manufactured from high grade 6061 aluminium, in a fourth axis machining centre.

Aluminium 6061’s high strength and light weight combined its machinability see it used in a range of applications form food and beverage to transport and aerospace. 4-Axis CNC machining allows the machine to work on all four sides with an extra rotating with only one set up. CNC machining is extremely accurate and efficient.

LC300 Oil Cooler Plate

Take control over oil temperature and most importantly viscosity, installing an aftermarket oil cooler with a thermostatic controlled cooling fan is considered to be one of the most effected ways to safeguard your engine against failure due to oil temperature.

When towing engine oil coolers are especially valuable, towing or even simple mods like larger tyres significant generate more heat within the LC300 engine. Oil coolers help manage and release this heat buildup ensuring the engine can sustain long periods of high stress without compromising reliability.

Manufactured from 6061 aircraft grade aluminium it is both strong and light. The oil cooler plate has a visually appealing yet robust 16mm thick design. The aim for all our products has always been simple, high quality and effective.

  • Reduces Oil Temperature: Directs engine oil to an external cooler, allowing excess heat to dissipate more effectively.
  • Maintains Optimal Viscosity: Helps keep oil temperatures lower, reducing the risk of viscosity breakdown and ensuring consistent lubrication.
  • Enhanced Heat Transfer: Improves the cooling efficiency of the engine by allowing for better heat exchange outside the engine bay.
  • Compatible Installation: Designed to be installed without major modifications to the vehicle’s existing setup.
